Light to Medical-Grade Chemical Peels

Your skin has been carefully treated to improve texture, pigmentation, acne, fine lines, and overall skin health. Following these instructions will help ensure the best possible results and reduce the risk of complications.

BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT

For 5–7 days before your peel:

Avoid sun exposure and tanning.

Wear SPF 50 every day.

Stop using:

Retinol/Retinoids

Vitamin A creams

Exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA)

Scrubs

Benzoyl peroxide (unless advised)

Waxing or depilatory creams

Dermaplaning

Microdermabrasion

Inform your therapist if you:

Are pregnant or breastfeeding

Have active cold sores

Have an infection or rash

Have recently used isotretinoin (Roaccutane)

Have recently undergone laser treatment.

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

FIRST 24 HOURS

Do:

Keep your skin clean.

Use only the products recommended by MC Aesthetics.

Apply sunscreen if going outdoors.

Avoid:

Makeup (unless advised otherwise)

Exercise

Swimming

Saunas

Steam rooms

Hot baths

Excessive sweating

Alcohol-based skincare

FOR 5–7 DAYS

Your skin may experience:

Mild redness

Tightness

Dryness

Flaking

Peeling

Slight sensitivity

This is completely normal.

DO NOT:

Pick peeling skin.

Scrub.

Use face brushes.

Wax.

Thread.

Use exfoliants.

SUN PROTECTION

This is the most important part of your aftercare.

SPF 50 every morning.

Reapply every 2 hours if outdoors.

Wear a hat when possible.

Avoid prolonged sun exposure.

Failure to protect your skin can lead to pigmentation.

HOMECARE

Use only gentle, hydrating products.

Recommended routine:

Morning

Gentle Cleanser

Hydrating Serum

Moisturiser

SPF 50

Evening

Gentle Cleanser

Hydrating Serum

Moisturiser

Resume active ingredients only when advised by your therapist (usually after 5–7 days).

COOLPEEL AFTERCARE

CoolPeel treatments often result in:

Mild redness (1–3 days)

Dryness

Sandpaper texture

Mild flaking

Avoid for 3–5 days:

Retinol

Acids

Vitamin C (strong formulations)

Swimming

Saunas

Excessive heat

Use:

Gentle cleanser

Healing moisturiser

SPF 50

GLYCOLIC, LACTIC & MANDELIC PEELS

Expect:

Mild peeling

Temporary dryness

Brighter skin within a week

Avoid active ingredients for approximately one week.

SALICYLIC PEELS

Temporary breakouts may occur as congestion clears.

Avoid picking blemishes.

Continue only recommended homecare.

JESSNER & LIGHT TCA PEELS

You may experience:

Moderate peeling

Tightness

Temporary redness

Sheets of peeling skin

This typically occurs between Days 2–5.

Never pull peeling skin.

Allow skin to shed naturally.

CONTACT MC AESTHETICS IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE

Severe swelling

Blistering

Increasing pain

Yellow discharge

Fever

Severe rash

Signs of infection
