Please follow the personalised instructions from your practitioner, as they take priority over this general guidance.
View treatment details →Our advanced 3-Wavelength Diode Laser combines 755nm, 808nm, and 1064nm technology to safely and effectively target unwanted hair on a wide range of skin types. Following these instructions will help ensure the safest treatment and achieve the best possible results.
BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT
For at least 3 days before your appointment:
Avoid all sun exposure and tanning. This includes natural sun, tanning beds, and self-tanning products.
Wear a broad-spectrum SPF 50 daily on exposed treatment areas.
Keep your skin clean and well hydrated.
Shaving
Shave the treatment area 12–24 hours before your appointment, unless your therapist advises otherwise.
Leave a small patch unshaved if requested for assessment.
Do NOT remove the hair from the root for 4 weeks before treatment:
Waxing
Threading
Tweezing
Sugaring
Epilating
These methods remove the hair follicle, which is required for the laser to work effectively.
Avoid for 3–5 days before treatment:
Retinol or Retinoids
Glycolic, Salicylic or Lactic Acids
Chemical peels
Exfoliating scrubs
Strong active skincare on the treatment area
Please inform your therapist if you:
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Have active cold sores or skin infections
Have open wounds or cuts
Have recently taken photosensitising medication or antibiotics
Have recently had laser treatment or a chemical peel
Have started new medication or have experienced recent changes in your health
AFTER YOUR TREATMENT
It is normal to experience:
Mild redness
Slight swelling around hair follicles
Warmth similar to mild sunburn
Mild sensitivity
These reactions usually settle within a few hours and may last up to 24–48 hours.
FIRST 24–48 HOURS
DO:
Apply a soothing moisturiser or aloe vera gel if recommended.
Keep the treated area clean and dry.
Drink plenty of water.
Wear loose-fitting clothing if the body has been treated.
AVOID:
Hot showers or baths
Saunas
Steam rooms
Swimming pools
Jacuzzis
Intense exercise that causes excessive sweating
Perfumed lotions or deodorants on treated areas (where applicable)
Scratching or rubbing the skin
SUN EXPOSURE
Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 3 days before and 3 days after your treatment.
For the best long-term results, continue protecting the treated area with SPF 50 throughout your treatment course.
Apply SPF 50 every morning.
Reapply every 2 hours when outdoors.
Wear protective clothing or a hat where appropriate.
Sun exposure before or after treatment increases the risk of irritation and pigmentation changes.
FOR THE NEXT 5–7 DAYS
Avoid:
Retinol or Retinoids
Glycolic, Salicylic or Lactic Acids
Chemical peels
Exfoliating scrubs
Microdermabrasion
Dermaplaning
Allow your skin to recover naturally before resuming active skincare.
HAIR SHEDDING
Over the next 1–3 weeks, treated hairs will gradually shed from the follicles.
This is a normal part of the treatment process.
You may shave between treatments if needed.
Do not wax, tweeze, thread, sugar, or epilate between sessions.
TREATMENT SCHEDULE
Because hair grows in cycles, multiple treatments are necessary.
Most clients require 6–10 sessions, spaced 4–8 weeks apart, depending on the treatment area, hair type, skin type, and hormonal factors.
Your therapist will create a personalised treatment plan to achieve the best results.
