Skin Tag Removal & Scar Treatment
Please follow the personalised instructions from your practitioner, as they take priority over this general guidance.
View treatment details →Your Skin Tag Removal or Scar Treatment has been performed to safely improve the appearance of your skin. Depending on your treatment plan, your therapist may have used advanced technology such as plasma, radio frequency, fibroblast, cryotherapy, microneedling, or another clinically appropriate modality.
Following these aftercare instructions is essential to promote proper healing, minimise the risk of infection, and achieve the best possible cosmetic result.
BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT
For 3–7 days before your appointment:
Keep the treatment area clean and moisturised.
Wear SPF 50 daily if the treatment area is exposed to the sun.
Stay well hydrated.

AFTER YOUR TREATMENT
It is normal to experience:
Mild redness
Slight swelling
Tenderness
A small scab or crust forming over the treated area
Mild itching as the skin heals
These are normal signs of the healing process.
IMPORTANT
Allow any scab or crust to fall off naturally.
DO NOT:
Pick
Scratch
Peel
Rub the treated area
Premature removal of the scab may increase the risk of infection, delayed healing, or scarring.
FIRST 24–48 HOURS
DO:
Keep the area clean and dry.
Apply only the aftercare product recommended by your therapist.
Wash gently with lukewarm water if instructed.
Wear loose clothing if treating the body.
AVOID:
Makeup over the treated area
Swimming
Saunas
Steam rooms
Hot baths
Intense exercise causing excessive sweating
Touching the treated area unnecessarily
FOR THE NEXT 7–14 DAYS
Avoid:
Retinol
Exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA)
Facial scrubs
Waxing or hair removal over the area
Picking at healing skin
Continue using the recommended healing cream or moisturiser until the skin has fully healed.
SUN PROTECTION
Sun exposure can increase the risk of pigmentation and affect scar healing.
Apply SPF 50 daily once the skin has re-epithelialised (healed over).
Reapply every 2 hours if outdoors.
Wear protective clothing or a hat whenever possible.
Avoid direct sun exposure until the treated area has completely healed.
SCAR MANAGEMENT
If your treatment was for scar revision:
Follow your therapist's recommended homecare routine.
Massage the scar only when advised.
Silicone scar gel or silicone sheets may be recommended once the skin has healed.
Multiple treatments may be required for optimal improvement.
Scar remodelling continues for several months, so gradual improvement is expected over time.

Following treatment you may notice:
Removal or reduction of skin tags
Improved scar texture
Softer, smoother skin
Improved skin appearance over time
Continued collagen remodelling during the healing process
Healing times vary depending on the treatment performed, the size of the treatment area, and your individual skin response.
